T5870 by a landslide.

Edit: Not too much of a diff, but the T5870 has double the L2 cache (2mb) so the choice is easy.

And the 4330 is better than the 105m.

All around yes. IDK if the 5870 is 65nm or 45nm, but both have a FSB of 800 so its not like the die shrink of either really improved performance.

To be honest, Compaq has been a pretty decent company. My first personal (as in my very own, not family's) back in 1998 was a Compaq qith a pentium 90, 1GB HDD and 16mb of ram. It stayed alive until i broke the motherboard jamming in some newer ram. My most recent Compaq PC was a SR1750. It was an Athlon 3500+, 1.5gb PC2100 (dual channel) and a geforce 5500. I upgraded the hell out of it (X2 4200+, 4GB PC3200, Raidmax 530w PSU, 8800GTS 320mb while paired with the 5500 for quad monitor) and it never skipped a beat. That PC was a budget build with very good, high quality parts.

To sum it up, Compaq doesn't choose shit components. I'm pretty sure they realize they actually save and earn more money in the long run with pushing quality products. They have never sold me short.
