T42 Quality, Batteries, and Drive Bay...

IBM is not going to short change us on quality with the new T42 that is about to come out are they? I would hate to have held out this long (a year) to buy a poorer built product. I hear the T41 was of good quality but had some cheap components here and there.

Another question will the batteries on the new T42 be the exact same batteries that were used in the T41? I would hope it would use the same HiCapacity battery and normal battery, and is the Ultrabay drive the same size, in other words will you still be able to use the current T41 Slim Li-Polymer battery in the T42's drive bay?
 
t40 Batteries should fit the t42. The bay will stay the same, so yes, you will be able to use the ultrabay slim battery.

As far as quality goes...we'll see once they release it.
 
Same chassis..... Now there are some questions about the p model potentially being in the "r" chassis ir just the 15" model being in the "r" chassis and that would change the picture of commonality a bit.- but other than those two speculations, a t41=t42 part for part or I should say option to option.
