T40p slow boot up?

Just received my T40p 2373-G5U and I notice it kinda hangs (20secs) @ the welcome splash screen (XP). I haven't tweaked anything in the msconfig startup tab, but was wondering if any other T40p onwers are experiencing similar issuses. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THX
 
Mine used to be slow like that too, but then I upgraded to the drivers from the ATI website for my graphics card and that problem disappeared.

How did you upgrade Video drivers from the ATI website
I can't find any there, it says check your notebook manufacturer.

 
Namael, that worked out nicely...... but in IE and when I open my computer the top menu part of the window is kinda pixelized, like not the full color - missing in some parts!! I know I didn't have this problem w/ IBM drivers. Just wondering if you have the same problem?
