T40 memory problems?

A quick question (and I registered for this, too 🙂)
I've seen mentions on this forum of people having problems with their t40 and crucial memory. I'm waiting to receive my t40, and since I ordered a model with just 256mb, I ordered a 256mb chip from crucial. Is there anyone who has done this who *hasn't* had problems? I'd hate to pay to return my memory. Has everyone who's had problems had them with the 512 chip?

If you followed the configuration menu for Crucial when selecting your memory, I would definately expect it to work. Crucial writes on their webpage "If you are upgrading a specific system, select from the list of manufacturers to the left. Your compatibility will be guaranteed!" Everyone usually has their own experience.
 
I have T40 and T40p. I ubgrade the memory to 1GB (512MBx2) and there is no problem at all (from crucial of course).

My struggles with Crucial 512mb parts are documented in this forum and usenet. I ended up with an expensive IBM 256 meg part instead. Crucial are very generous with their return policy though. I just safely ship my goods back to them and they gladly accept it and refund my money.
