hi all!

looking at getting a 3d monitor and i cant tell these 2 apart? i just dont want to buy the wrong one! Anyone familiar with these? i read up on all the reviews on the s27a950d and i like what i saw, but then i went to buy one and i see the t271750, and to be honest, i got more confused.

help! :'(

sorry had to do homework first! ati6950's. it more for my ps3. If i had nvidia i would have gone with Acer HN274H but i think the samsung looks nice and i compared at best buy and they look the same.
On their compare site, the s27a950d shows to be 120hrz and 3d but the t27a750 doesnt. they are both the same price. in all the reviews no where do i see a difference. thanks for the help!

Read some review on the s27a950d when I was researching which 27 incher to get a month ago, and I wasn't really impressed with the image quality aspect. All you really get is the 120hz, big size and sleek design - if those are the most important things to you then it might be your monitor. The S27A950D is also available as T27A950D which is pairs as a TV but is otherwise the same.

Don't know about the T27A750. It's cheaper, but it might still have better image quality than the A950, cos to me it seems that with the A950 you're paying for the design.

thanks, did some looking at newegg and the only major thing i could see (besides price) was the feature listed as 2D?3D Converting. from what i can tell that since i have ati cards that and that there is no patch for nvidea cards, this is good for that. also it would seem you can create 3d content. granted it probably takes a degree of sorts, but thats all i can see.

You can't use any 120Hz monitor for 3D. 120 Hz monitors are required only for the Nvidia 3D and not all of them will even work. For AMD you need a monitor with HDMI 1.4a.

Those Samsungs look like they have their own 3D engine but I'm pretty sure neither AMD nor Nvidia have support for them. They are 120Hz and have active glasses (like for the Nvidia solution) yet they're nowhere on the list on Nvidia 3D supported hardware.
