The router needs a wideband built in csu/dsu in order to accept a T1 signal
I do not see how he has it working in his computer without a csu/dsu being
on the line somewhere .. It is possible that the T1 is going into a csu/dsu,
then into a router which he doesn't know about, then into his computer
Also the pinouts on the RJ48 plug are not the same for a T1
T1 uses Pins 1 & 2 (rec) and Pins 4 & 5 (xmit)
