I'm recently doing research on T1 lines and have learned some of the hardware aspects of this high-speed connection. However, I'm confused as to how it really works. I have learned about setting up some sort of point of presence, from where T1 feed can be relayed to other places. Does this mean that if I rent T1 from a service provider, I can establish a Point of Presence at a given location, and route the internet to other locations by simply paying for the local loop charge? And, if someone could clarifty... To the Point of Presence is a Direct T1, and all other routed locations along the loop are Relay T1? Also, what are some of the best prices for T1? I'm in the Los Angeles area and would love to be referenced to a service provider.
Thanks for any help possible!
