I am 13 years old and my mom will only let me get games that are rated "T" or under. I know that the hardest games for a computer to run are Doom 3, Half Life 2, and Far Cry, but they are all rated "M". I was thinking that if I get a gaming computer, what would I use it for. Are there any games rated "T" that are as advanced as Doom 3, and Half Life 2? Just curious :).

ESRB ratings are a load of crap. Tell her to let you play the M-rated games and be happy you're not out on the street Thuggin' It Up Hard Yo and robbing old ladies for their purses. :p

I think the ESRB's default rating is 'M' these days, and if you want anything less, you have to bribe the holy living crap out of them.

That IS a fun game.

Also, if you want to have no life...World of Warcraft...but that WILL lower your grades.

Freespace 2 is an awesome space sim.

Call of Duty (and its expansion pack) are both "T" rated. At least that's what's on the box. :)

Very funny Ameesh:p. I have Call of Duty: Finest hour, but for PS2. BTW the games can be rated "T" for anything. Example: blood, gore, suggestive themes, etc.

Then you could get the badass Resident Evil 4. Oh wait, it's rated M!

Maybe you could make a "T" ESRB sticker and put it on the game.

Really? Wow...those are really good games.

My parents never cared, so I've never even looked at the ratings...lol...granted, I didn't have a computer that was capable of playing very much until late high school.

Have you explained the concept of Parental Locks to your mother? Most M-rated games have them. She may let you play 'em with all the gore and whatnot turned off. (And more importantly, locked off)

As far as good strenuous T-rated games... Man, I don't know. Maybe some of the Star Wars games, KOTOR and KOTOR II, but those aren't very strenuous on your system compared to some other M-rated titles.

Dungeon Siege needs at least a geforce3 to look its best at 640x480, and a gf4 ti 4200 or better for higher resolutions.
