I'm not test driving the device to see if it works on wifi. The signal needs to be reliable everywhere I frequent, including my house, or it's not worth it to me. Not long ago I had issues with my home internet so I just wifi tethered my S4 and was able to work without issues until that was resolved. With T-mobile that wouldn't even be an option.

due to the nature of their higher frequency bands, t-mobile's service does not penetrate buildings as well, and has less coverage (and fewer LTE towers)

stick with Verizon if you want reliability.... and you pay more for this. visit T-mobile again if/when they have 700mhz LTE working in your area

Yea I'm willing to pay more for reliable service. It would save me $50 a month to switch, but I'm not that desperate to save that money that I'd switch for a less reliable service.

That's why I did the test drive though. If T-mobile was equivalent for me, AND saved me $50 a month then it would be a no-brainer switch for me. It's not, so I'll stay where I am, and didn't have to spend anything to find that out.

Also was interesting to test an iPhone 5S. Pretty much answers my question of if I could tolerate a smaller screen. I can't. Switching back and forth between my S4 and the 5s is quite a difference.
