If i get a smartphone, with Wi-Fi and Windows Mobile and everything, would i have to pay fees for internet use? I'm currently on a family plan of 3 people. Its pretty standart. Someone told me there are no extra fees or minute use when i use the internet on a phone. How is it?
 
Thanks. But the use of it. Because i have friends telling me its free, and others tell me you pay by minute of internet use. Or it comes out of your monthly minutes, or additional fees.

Actually going to go look at the dash to replace my Ipaq.

And if you pay for the internet plan it is free 🙂

Ok. How much does that cost? And lets say i dont get the internet plan, and just use the internet occasionaly. Are there fees? If so, around how much?

I am not sure if there is an option to pay for internet usage without getting one of the internet plans or add-ons. Ask at the T-mobile forum at howardforums.com, the people there should know.
 
i think he means if he uses wi-fi ... if you surf internet THROUGH tmobile (tzone is what they call it?) its 20$ a month.. otherwise if the phone is capable of picking up standard 802.xx wifi then thats free
 
Officially, it's a $30/month to surf the web.

Unofficially, you can sign up for the $5.99/month plan and change some settings to allow you to use the internet.
 
Well the Dash can pick up WiFi. How do i know if i'm using wifi or if i'm getting charged? Its a smartphone. Lets say i just click the Internet Explorer icon.. what am i using?
