T-Mobile (or Verizon) in SF Bay Area, any good?

Right now I'm on AT&T GSM in the SF Bay Area (San Jose specifically), and I absolutely hate it. Dropped calls, poor quality, calls not going through. I'm fed up, and want to switch. I'm considering T-Mobile, they seem to have some good deals I was looking at. Any opinions on their quality in this area? If they are no good, what about Verizon in this area? I just want a damn service that works. With AT&T I can't get a signal at work, in my apartment, in most malls, on customer sites (I do a lot of service calls), and various other places.

my sister uses it a lot in walnut creek and san francisco and everywhere inbetween and says it's decent. If you get a good plan and have a lot of friends that use it then it's probably worth it. If my sisters friends didn't use ATT then she would have gone somewhere else long ago.

Verizon though, best coverage, best buliding coverage supposedly, but costly

Good resource to refer to when shopping for cell phone providers in the Bay Area

I'm yet to see this problem with T-mobile and Cingular in the Bay Area. What the heck you guys doing, living in caves? Works fine deep inside the Great Mall, up and down 101, all around downtown San Jose.

Verizon Wireless, they just added over a million customers in the past few weeks. The portable number thing is really favoring them and the sign that so many people have switched to them is a positive one.
