Great, thx for heads up. I'll keep an eye on it. but it won't be much of a promo if they restrict to family plan upgrades... hope it's not.

I am guessing you have to get the contract, which is more expensive per month.....
Seems unlikely they would give away phones with the option to cancel service 5 minutes later with no termination fee.

Anyone have experience with T-Mobile customer service? This may be my chance to bail on AT&T but I don't want to switch to something worse.

I switched to T-mobile about 1.5yrs ago from Sprint. No regrets at all. (Sprint billing was totally messed up, had been for years)

Customer Service has been great. Had to call them a few times for assistance, both phone and service related stuff, and they always handled it very quickly and easily.
