T-Mobile $70 unlimited data plan now includes 2.5gb of hotspot!

I was happy with 500mb free, but 2.5gb? WOW!

Can't complain about a free upgrade, sure adds a LOT of value compared to AT&T/VZ!

Yeah read about this a few days ago. Good stuff, the only thing is you have to call and request it, I don't think you get it automatically.

it's only hotspot on the device right (via the tmobile hotspot app)? so the people who benefit = people who don't root and use 3rd party apps right?

Not having to root and use a third party app just for tethering is a benefit to everyone.

Well yes, but the number of people needing that much tethering time is probably around the same percentage of people who root and tinker with their phones.
