Athlon T-Bird w/266 Front Side Bus with A7V133. Will they work well togather or should I stay with the earlyer tunderbirds?
Will the cheeper pc133 work well with this newer AMD. Or will it be looking for DDR?

Am I wasting my money on the Newer AMDs With the 266/DDR set up?
Will it run any faster than the older bus? Monarch comupter company is selling the older A7v with the newer t-bird with 266. AND that will WORK? Do they know what they are doing?
Will it be better, "I should say", than the cheaper t-bird.
Are they wasting the 266 t-bird on slower via chip set when they should be putting them on the 760 amd set?
OR am I all messed up here?

basically there's 3 setups that use the 266 bus. the kt133a chipset, the amd 760, and the ali magik. over at monarch, they're selling the asus which has the kt133a which does support the 266 fsb t-birds, and uses pc133 sdram. if you look at benchmarks, the ddr boards (amd 760 and ali magik) do perform better, but require ddr ram. so in my opinion, it all depends on how much you're willing to spend.

Their systems are not overclocked, is that what you want? If you are looking for an overclocked combo up to 1.4 then go to

OustsideLoop

They have great priced OCd combos.

There is an excellent article by Master Anand on this very site, that suggests a KT133A chipset motherboard running a 133FSB (266 clock-doubled) will perform very nearly on par with a AMD 760 with DDR RAM. His benchmarks and conclusions are clear: buying the DDR/266 combination is an investment with a dubious cost/benefit ratio at best, at least at this time.
