t-bird slot a compatibility

If it's an older AMD chipset board then No problem,if it's a via chipset board then you'll have problems.

Via chipsets on the SlotA boards didnt go well with T-birds,especialy high mhz ones.

Your best off checking the site of your motherboard manufacturer for this one, some older SlotA boards would work with a T-Bird whereas others wouldnt.

Typically, the AMD750 based board would however, while the KX133 boards had some issues especially with the 900MHz+ T-Birds.. Though there were definitely exceptions.

yep this board has a AMD - 751 (irongate) chipset so I think im okay.
I do remember though building a pc with a via - kx133 chipset or something like that (board was like 40 bucks so y not?) and I usee a slot t-bird. I could over-clock it to about 950 then It would freeze after a couple of minutes. Then at 900 and 850 it got decently stable (one freeze a day) but I had to run it stock (750) for most stability but it occasionly froze. So I wonder if it was the via timing prob. oh well.
-hoops
