HQ never sent Sgt Athlon, but HQ finally sent
Sgt T-bird1000 to Company Jarhead!

Never even bothered reporting in, just walked right out to
the battlefield as we speak. He is kicking DPC around a
little on the battlefield, working out the kinks with his
systems, at a rate of 3.3 Mkeys/sec.

He calls it target practice, and said he could knock off
another 600 Kkeys worth of DPC *ss per second! We shall see.
 
Sgt T-bird1000 o/c1200 is pretty sharp.

He is now knocking off DPC at the rate of 3.962Mkeys/sec.

His mainboard is a MSI KT7 Pro2-A.

He is breaking a little sweat at 45C with a common Cooler Master DP6H51
and 1.8V core temp.

Guess I'll have to update the fireteam listing...

 
Sheesh, killed a few background tasks, getting 4.172 Mkeys/sec now,
at 1200 Ghz.

And that is with a 100Mhz FSB, 12x multiplier!

Still got a few more tweeks to go...
 
Thanks for the comment about my line, it goes way back for me.

You haven't seen nothing yet (my stats).

Just got an Antec SX-1030 SOHO case, 1.2 GHz deserves something
better than the 1992 Amax case (*modified*), that used to house
my 486DX33 w/4 Megs of 70ns RAM. Right now it holds a BX6 Rev 1.0
(yes, it is a AT case with a ATX motherboard in it).

Gotta shut down, need to give Sgt T-bird a new set of threads.
 
Try the 12.5 multiplier. Worked for me and the temp stayed steady at 45C. Same board, same CPU, must be in the same platoon! Did your T-Bird come with a full metal jacket?
 
No, man, he is raw as they come.

He keeps cool with nothing more than a Cooler Master DP5-6H51 and the standard white (zinc oxide) Thermalcote.

I'll load him up with 12.5X of firepower and see what happens.

Blends right in with his new Antec utility uniform. With all that firepower, I'm afraid DPC might see him when they are using their FLIR (Forward Looking Infra-Red)systems. That Antec uniform may help a little, might look into a better personal cooling system.

 
Looks like you have the Platoon Honorman.

Won't do 12.5X at 1.80. Don't really want to raise the Vcore until I
get better cooling.
