I have an asus a7v mobo with 1.2 unlocked t-bird. I can clock it to a stable 1.442 but the temps run at about 68c which rises to 70c with any kind of load. I have tried Vantecs best cooler(loud) and several others including Alpha pal6035, Chrome orb, and a dual fan heatsink I put together with parts from all three.(I am using it now at 1.2 mghz at 54c temp.) Can anyone point me to a socket a cooler with a clip that uses all three plastic holddown points on both sides of the socket? I have changed so many coolers that the center holddown points are worn and are just about useless.( I have used every heatsink compound known to man except the arctic one.)
Help anyone?:disgust::confused:

A) Those temps are normal for A7V series MBs.

B) Taisol CGK742/760's use the three-pin clips.
