I just ordered a 900Mhz oem t-bird and asked before I bought it if anyone holds the actuall chip to put a sticker on it. I was told absolutely not! Well the chip came and it has a big 'ol sticker on the chip. I asked this because most any where, no one gives a rat's @ss about grounding their selves to touch a chip and put a sticker on it before shipping it off, thus most likely giving it a nice static bath in the process. Would this bug you guys too?
I'm seriously thinking about returning it.

It only seems to work for now but maybe it has some damage. That's why I usually like retail ones. Plus the top of the chip has a rainbow look, like you get from when you heat up metal to a high temp and it leaves that prism type glare/mark

If it's damage, it won't work now or tomorrow or yesterday. Static shocks kill a CPU instantly. There's no chance of a turning back dude.

Ok, I'll keep it :)
I feel better now that I got positive feedback about the situation. I was just a bit mad since they lied about not putting stickers on it and it's $100 processor.

An OEM T-bird 900 goes for about $75 shipped. An OEM 1.2GHz T-bird goes for about $100 shipped. :)
