Hey guys,
I have a retailed boxed blue core 1ghz T-bird with an Alpha PAL 6035 and a Delta 60mm fan. I am running the CPU on an Epox 8KTA3 @1.34ghz (10x133) @1.85V. The question I am wondering about is this normal a normal overclock range or do I have a good chip? Also, could someone tell me what the default voltage on the 1 Ghz birds is? My bios is set to DEfault for the CPU voltage, and it reads 1.75V, yet in the PC Health in the bios, it says 1.85V. MBM 5 also says 1.85V in Win2k. Btw, This is one quick bird..temps are around 45C running Prime 95, Win amp, ICQ, aOL IM, and IE.

Thanks
Josh

I believe default voltage is 1.775 or 1.75. It's one of those two for sure. My voltage is set to 1.7 and it works fine, and saves me a bit of power. I have my 1GHz running at 1.2GHz, though I'd probably be able to squeeze out more if I had one of the newer KT133A motherboards. Nice overclock I believe. :)

the voltage setting is not what it will exactly show in the monitoring programs. I set my duron 650 to 1.8V but it shows as 1.88V in the abit hardware doctor.

Default core voltage for a 1gig is 1.75. To get 1.34 out of a 1gig is outstanding and out of the ordinary. My 1gig maxes out at 1.2gig with 1.85 Vcore. I have a 900 that maxes out at 1gig and I also have a 1.1gig that hits 1.2gig max.
