I think there's a problem. I got a T-bird 900 with MSI K7T-Pro2 and I can never get the chip to go higher than 1050 on just multiplier. I don't want to change anything else becuase stability is still my main priority. It works okay at 100 x10.5, but when I set it to x11.0 and restart, Either it stalls at the IDE detection or, much more commonly, the monitor doesn't come on and it gives a couple of lows, couple of highs beep code. I have to reset the bettery jumper and set all my BIOS stuff again. At 1050, it runs at about 40C idle, 45 under stress, so it isn't a real heat issue. Using chrome orb with included heat transfer pad. Hope someone knows the answer to this.

Thanks...!

It may just be that your particular chip won't run any faster than that. They don't all overclock magically. Remember, the chip is only rated at 900MHz.

I also think it might be a chip limitation. I have the same problem, i can get my 1ghz up to 1.1, but trying 100 x 11.5 restarts computer and says "windows protection error". As with the heat, im not sure if heat is an issue with it either. The most ive gotten with mine is 11 x 102. Whats wierd is the first day i got the mobo is that i got it up to 113 fsb... now it cant go over 102.

My 1ghz only goes to 1.1, 1.15 gives bootup error.

My friends 900 only goes to 980mhz.

Both CPUs are very cool.

That just goes to show O/Cing is never certain.
