I've tried, unsuccessfully so far, to build a 900 mhz T-Bird system. The temps I'm getting are in the 150 degree range. That seems a little high to me. A generic retail heatsink was used, as this will not be overclocked. Thanks for the info guys!

I'm setting one up right now. If my brother doesn't come by (building it for him), I should be able to get some temp readings for you.

My friend has a Globalwin FOP32-1 and some radio shack thermal compound with an A7v + Tbird 900 and he gets 103 F and I have a Tbird 750 with a "coolermaster" stock fan and I get around 108 F.

That is too high, I am running a 900 retail with a modified
socket 370 Alpha, 1.85v ,1007(9.5 x 106) Abit KT7 25 degrees over room temperature( right now 98 at idle)up to 111 maxed. This is green 900tb socket A, week 41, from buy com. I do have max air flow, 120mm in ,120mm fan out the back, 120mm fan blowing on the processor from the side panel.Artic silver thermal compound woodsman

woodsman, read my sig to see why you aren't showing your actual core temp.

Your cpu core is probably running 24C over ambient.

Mine is at 46c(114f) right now after some 3D gaming, never goes above 48c,using just the Taisol heatsink/fan , & two 80mm case fans.

Mikewarrier2,
I agree 100 per cent with you. I am just saying relative, with us all using the same inaccurate way of measuring, that sounded too high. I read you post before and enjoyed it.:):) woodsman
