Hi!

I'm planning to build myself a puter and have a couple of questions for all of you here that can AMD and T-birds (and all other peoples of course...):

Why shall I buy a 1200MHz T-bird instead of a 1100MHz or 1000MHz?
As I've been reading the threads here I've seen a lot of people writing that the T-birds are unlocked, are they all unlocked?
If they are unlocked why should I buy a 1200 instead of 1000 that I can tweak the multiplier to be the same as for a 1200?
Should I buy a 1200/266 or a 1200/200? Is it any better with 266 if the motherboard I'm planning to buy (IwillKK266) can tweak the FSB from 100 to 133?

Thanks in advance!!

If you're going to buy a motherboard supporting the 266Mhz FSB, then you want the new revision C Tbirds that support that new FSB. Not all of the revision B Tbirds are capable of hitting 266 FSB, as they were designed to meet 200Mhz FSB. Also, to hit 266 Mhz FSB, if you are using a DDR board, you'll need PC2100 RAM. PC1600 RAM is designed for 200Mhz FSB.

Good luck.
