T-Bird 1.33GHz AYHJA, What can I do with it?

I have an old 1.33GHz T-Bird chip, AYHJA stepping, and I want to see if I can OC it a bit so I can hold off getting another CPU for just a little longer. My question is this, is my current heatsink/fan sufficient to get perhaps up to 1.6ghz speeds, or is there a cheaper hs/f that will get me there?

Link to my HS/F - Globalwin WBK38

This HS/F is VERY noisy, but I don't think it'll bother me too much. Just want to know the odds of OC'ng this to at least 1.53GHz with my current HS/F. Also, I don't have this installed in anything right now, so I haven't tried anything myself.

I also have Artic Silver 5 compound I plan to use.

Did you unlock the chip? Or do you just plan on attempting an FSB oc?

I believe it's factory unlocked. The L1 bridges all seem to be connected, and I believe that's what's required for the multi to be unlocked. So all options are open I believe for OC'ng =)

O/C that bish! But be careful, they're HOT mofos!!!!

EDIT: For $30 you can get an all copper heatsink. The ThermalTake Silent Boost. It's an AWESOME heatsink.

Was thinking of getting this one - TR2 M4 made by Thermaltake. It got really good reviews on bjorn3d and is only $15.99 shipped.

If anybody knows if the above HS/F would be superior to my old one (I'd think it'd have to be quiter) please let me know.

The Silent Boost is almost whisper quiet and offers the performance of the Thermalright SLK-800.

There's a huge difference between a T-Bird and the 2800+. The 2800+ has alot more optimizations and runs cooler. Also they switched from 18nm to 13nm. The T-Bird was the fastest chip back in it's days but now it's slower and runs hot!

well, i had this old tbird laying around, and im like, whao, does this thing still work? fired it up, left, came back, started using my computer for a couple days. played some ffxi, silent hill 3, everything was fine. ran aida32, and it said tbird 1.33. so i was like wtf?! i left this thing in here and i totally forgot!!! real world performance was totally the same. i blame the similar results on gaming by maybe similar results (i wasn't running an fps monitor or anything, it just felt the same). i guess the bottleneck on my computer isnt cpu related, but i also praise the fact that i optimized my computer to real world performance (fast ram timings, fast hd, no swap file, many windows processes disabled, etc...)
