I received my 1.2 T-bird today and was getting ready to do the pencil trick as I had done to my Duron 750 when I noticed that the L1 golden bridges were intact. Is this unusual? Does AMD not care if we are able to get the extra .5 multiplier for free or... are they kind enough to allow us to use this chip in the upcoming 133/266 bus motherboards by simply adjusting the multiplier. Whatever the reason you gotta love AMD. 1300 plus mhz of pure kick as_ for less than $300. I may never switch back to _ntel.

I had the exact same thing! I got a K7T Pro2-A today, so I went to close the bridges, and when I looked under a magnifying lense, I saw that all the L1 bridges were intact! No cuts. It was freakin' fantastic. Sure enough, I popped the sucker in, and was able to overclock it with no problem. I have NO idea why some are connected, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

My 1.1 that I got last week was... A few passes with my Lead Pencil and all was fixed. Too bad the Chip will not OC for anything....even with the FOP-32i and a Voltage increase. I guess they speed bin the 1.2 and 1.1, if it won't make it to 1.2...there now you have a 1.1. :)

Makes no sense for AMD to spend time and money blowing bridges on a 1.2. There's only 50mhz left on the multiplier.
