T-Bird 1.1Ghz / KT133 Chipset -- When I go over 110FSB the board defaults back to 100 on boot..?

Hey there...

I have a T-Bird 1.1Ghz and an MSI K7T Pro mobo that runs the KT133 chipset. I have finally been able to get it up to 1210Mhz stable by updating the BIOS and upping the voltage. But, when I try to change the FSB over 110Mhz, save the settings, then boot, it goes back to 100FSB at 1100Mhz. Why is it doing that? I'd like to see if I can go higher but it keeps changing itself back!

Any suggestions are apprecaited! I have tried upping the voltage a bit higher and that didn't fix it, but I don't want to go any higher than 1.85 on the core (it's at 1.825 right now).

Thanks! :D

Hehe, sorry, I'm no longer lucky :) I can run Prime95 stress test for hours without problems, but as soon as I start up Ghost Recon my USB devices stop working. Any idea what might be causing this? I assume it's simply the higher FSB and the chipset doesn't like it... :(

If I remember correctly 104 - 107 was the average FSB overclock for the KT133.

at 103 my modem acts all screwy, i'd love 110 stable :p

my default 850 runs at 10x100 so not too shabby.

Yeah, But that's only 1144 to 1177, which really isn't worth it... :disgust:

Well, it looks like I can get 107Mhz FSB stable at default core voltage... I haven't had any problems with it... yet...

That only puts me at 1177Mhz from 1100Mhz stock, but that's better than nothing if it remains stable. :D

How about increasing the multiplier? The FSB limitation is the chipset (KT133) not the CPU.

This board does not have support for changing the multiplier. The MSI K7T Pro-2a does, but not the K7T Pro.

Thanks! :D
