"President Trump bragged about his prowess in defeating the Republicans who oppose him, saying at an Ohio rally that he “destroys” the careers of GOP politicians who dare defy him."

So what, fall in line with what I say, or I will destroy you?
Jeebus, when are some of these republican senators/congressmen going to grow a pair and speak what's really on their minds. Not just the ones who are not up for re-election. cheeto in charge is telling these guys to eat shit and like it too. Its gotta be embarrassing for these guys to be at this receiving end of these verbal beatings.

I mean their thinking is they have to take this beating because they really want to be re-elected?
Come on guys, there's got to be at least one of you that will take one for your team.
Someone stand up to this smarmy, fatty-in-chief and tell him that he's the asshole that all of you know he is.

I found it telling that he didn't refer to his twitter war with LeBron James in this Ohio rally.

Sure, he destroys their credibility as well.
Like they needed any additional help with that.:p I still remember the last time I was in church standing in the sanctuary as we were conducting praise and worship. You know the scripted time where everybody sings songs chosen by the music director and not only that but only the verses they've chosen for you.

I was looking around and knew that something wasn't right even though I couldn't put my finger on exactly what was wrong. Now I have a pretty good idea of what it was and I'm glad that I could never bond to that bunch or I might be just like them today. I reject organized religion for what it is, ritualistic religion minus the essentials, things that I often times struggle with myself.

I can't stand how they're always accusing sinners of their behavior unless its someone they like and then they're all onboard with them no matter what obvious things are present. Too bad they won't embrace other groups like the LGBT community with the same fervor.

Who's going to be the first Trump supporter to say "I disapprove of this but we're still BFFs"?

Lol, theyre cheering it on. The republicans are playing their voters like a fiddle. They see Trump as someone who challenges the establishment (obvious bullshit, based on actions), so bullying, name calling, overall man-baby behavior directed at non-trump supports is fine. The republicans get to essentially do whatever they like, Trump creates chaos and misdirection while it happens.

You're certainly an anomaly when it comes to religion.
I plan on keeping it that way too.

^^^This right here^^^ Organized religion supports the GOP and all of their candidates no matter how bad they are. The bible says that Christians should prove all things and hold fast to that which is good which is a direct contradiction to what organized religion is doing.

Love thy neighbor as thyself, being peaceable with all men, judge not that ye be not judged not to mention that their accusing spirit is not of God. I would remind folks that Satan accuses the Christians before God night and day which is the same thing that organized religion does to sinners here in this world.

Speaking as a person who has faith, I must admit that organized religion, just like government, is a means to manage and control the masses. The extents vary, but there are some cult type churches out there, who expect absolute obedience to their programming, and expect a certain amount of your money.

Only one unaffected appears to be Nikki Haley. She she works in the administration but she doesn’t cow tow to Trump and her reputation seems to have improved.

I think this is contemporaneous footage from the moment Trump decided to run for POTUS:

Awww.... Trumpie holds the GOP hostage?

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys. They blew it some while back when they made their base crazy enough to fall for Trump. It's not like nobody tried to warn them either. Here's hoping they pay dearly for their arrogance & stupidity.

That was the night the Nazi's got rid of their opponents.
Of course they did it in a much much more rigorous way. So that can't be compared.
But the striking thing is: they removed both their opponents from outside the Nazi-party, and their opponents *inside* the Nazi-party. They attacked their allies with the same viciousness as with which they attacked their enemies.

It didn't matter if you were in the same party.
It didn't matter if you had the same political conviction.
If you opposed the great leader, then you had to be disposed of.

It's non-sense to say that Trump is Hitler, or that the Republicans are Nazis.
Of course they are not.
If you don't see that, then you know nothing about history.

But Trump certainly tries to steal ideas from the Nazis.
That's for sure.

You're the only one talking about Nazis in this thread.

I just thought of an apt analogy for what Donald Trump is doing to the Republican party. Imagine all of the ideal conservative principles and values all wrapped up and packaged in one woman. One drop dead gorgeous, smart, powerful, witty, chaste, all around damned fine woman.

Conservative politicians all want to be her "gentleman caller" or suitor. Some just flirt with her, some get to date her, and some get to marry her. But they are all talking about her as their ideal woman, non-stop.

Along comes Donald Trump. He sees this fine, honorable woman and he just grabs her by the pussy. He man-handles her. He pressures her into ever more defiling acts, and eventually he's just having his way with her, regardless of anything being reciprocated.

And what do these conservative politicians do, when this woman is being violated thus? Do they come to her defense?! No!! They don their cuckhold horns with glee! They are no longer enamored with this women who represented all they hold dear. No, now they choose to worship the man who raped her.

Please. it's more like a pedo ring & Trump is just the last guy to do her.

Some of these Republicans could challenge him and successfully fight him back, but they're afraid to because they don't know how. They've never fought with a sociopath and a shameless liar like Donald Trump. Republican senators have never dealt with someone like this and they seem afraid to cross him. Trump's effective at creating a phony aura of invincibility, very good at selling his bullshit. Trump is creating his own reality, and he's been effective in making others believe it and seeing what he sees.

The Republican Party has been one long parade of sociopaths and shameless liars since Joe McCarthy first showed them how to do it.

They've done the same thing since Gingrich, just not as outrageously well. Trump taught them that their well conditioned base will swallow more bullshit than they'd even imagined.

Poor poor Trump, he lives is a world full of mean vicious liberal trolls who are out to get him. You'd want to destroy people too if you had to put up with that kind of shit.
