Sytem Longevity - Time to upgrade for next gen gaming?

Gents,

I currently sport:

Intel Core-i5 750
Radeon 5850
4 gig Ram
SSD

I want to know if I should be considering a full system rebuild right now for next gen gaming. I am hoping I can pop a new GPU into my system and be good with that. So essentially what I am asking is if my CPU will be bottle necking my performance, and if so, what CPU/GPU should I be looking at for a all in build (GPU,CPU,RAM only) for less than $700.

Thanks Team,

I don't mean anything personal by this, but I can't stand vague terms like "Next Gen Gaming".

Can you be specific about which games you intend to play? If they aren't out yet, then no, definitely don't upgrade. If you don't have a list of titles yet, you just want to be prepared for whatever is coming down the pike in the next year or two, then definitely don't upgrade yet.

On the other hand, if you want to play newly released games we can help you figure out how to spend your money most effectively.

How\where are you bottlenecked now?
What games\applications?
What size monitor do you run and at what resolution?

What do you currently have that can be carried over?
