SysTray keeps forgetting it's Hide Icon settings

Running WinXP SP2 and all the latest patches. I have no spyware or virii.

Windows seems to be randomly forgetting my SysTray Hide Icon settings. Specifically, Task Mangler and MBM. Task Mangler is Always Show and the CPU temp of MBM is set to always show, while the case temp is set to Always Hide.

They seem to randomly decide to hide/show no matter that I keep going in and setting them to my preferred settings. Any ideas? 😕

I've periodically run into the same thing, but never frequent enough to make it worth the time looking in to. I've heard others with similar sentiments so I'm inclined to think it's a bug in Explorer.

For what it's worth I have not run into this with any of the Vista builds; but I dont know if this is something they've fixed or if I've just been lucky.

Thanks spyordie007. It's not a "problem" per se, but it is getting annoying. Especially considering I just did my annual WinXP reload just 3 weeks ago. This is a brand new install/registry. 🙁
