First off, the group of you is great, very helpful, and polite, I appreciate it.

I was working on a friends computer, cleaned out everything, and set it up like this:

(C:) Win98 - 8gig HD
(D:) WinXP - 80gig HD

I installed 98 first, and then XP. Only programs installed so far are Office.

Installed Norton SystemWorks2003 on XP first... made sure it installed on D:\

Then tried to install on 98. Doesn't complain or anything, however after restart, there is no sign that it installed. In Add/Remove there is only LiveUpdate. On C:\ it has the Synamtec and Norton folders, but there isn't anything in them.

Very weird, no idea how to get SystemWorks2003 installed on both boots now.

Also, I tried deleting everything on Win98 (norton folders), and uninstalled on XP. Then tried installing on 98 first, but still won't actually install.

Please help! Thanks!

Norton doesn't support multiple operating systems...but, I think if you have only one disk hooked up it should install. Then just switch disks. You should be able to use C and D as the disk positions on the pc. You may have to do a low-level format since the install has failed at least once. Norton writes stuff to the disk that tell it stuff (like don't let him install another copy on this pc) that may hinder the repeat install. Maxtor has a low level utility that will do the job...but try a dos format and partition first, it'll save a lot of time if it works. My 120gig took about ten hours to low-level format. No fun to watch, I went to bed and let it run overnight. Post back with results. Though I ran two operating systems with system commander and had no trouble with Norton or any of the utilities I used....EXCEPT Partition Magic! It did not like that setup at all.
