Had my puter vamped a month or so ago. Now finding hard to download and do certain things. Have not been able to shut down puter automatically since then either. Can anyone help??
 
If you're using Win98, go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and grab the shutdown patch and whatever else is out there. If using WinNT, go to the same site and pick up the most recent service pack (6a).

And it would help if you were more specific about your system: specs, OS, exactly what you're having problems with, what error messages if any...
