Systematic Attack on the Internet?

3 major internet "tubes" getting cut in short-order? Could this be some type of systematic attack?

If they're trying to attack the US, they are in a horrible need of a geography course. Otherwise I don't know for what reason would they want to cut off communications there.

France Telecom, part owner of the other cable, said it was uncertain when repairs on it would be repaired.

They're French, I don't fault them for trouble with the English language. CNN on the other hand... :laugh:

It is odd that 3 cables in the same region would fail independently (no known natural cause) in such a small amount of time.
