System76 laptops

I've been thinking about getting a System76 laptop, the Lemur Ultra to be exact. Wanted to know y'all opinions of them. Was looking for a 14" laptop. Matte screen would've been lovely, and larger resolution a plus, but I wanted to support this company. Thinkpad T420/T420s wouldve been my next choice but my broken Thinkpad Edge and lenovo's c/s left a bad taste.

No personal experience, but they have a good reputation. You'd likely find a Windows machine cheaper, but it's always good to support companies that support your choice.

I'm also strongly considering the Lemur for the same reasons. ~14" screen, made for Linux computer, not UEFI crap to deal with, great built quality, etc.

You should also check out Zareason. I almost bought the ultralap 430 but found out that the battery is not removable in the sense that a traditional laptop battery is, if at all. Zareason also assembles their computers in Oakland, CA.

Zareason's Ultralap would be nice if it was a little cheaper.
