System32.exe What does it do?

What os? you could get it from your cd... it will probably be named system32.ex_ so you need to extract it, to do that you use extract...

extract has a command line interface, just bring up an MS-Dos window and type extract for help...

[edit] Dwell is right, i was thinking of system32.dll

You may have this entry in your win.ini file
[windows]
load="C:\Winnt\SYSTEM32.exe
open="C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32.exe"

and/or this registry key

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Run\SYSTEM32=C:\Windows\SYSTEM32.exe
