system wont power up

i just put together my new setup... i hit the powerswitch and i dont get power. sometimes every 5 min or so when i hit it after trying stuff the fan will spin up for about 2 seconds. im using an abit kg7 with an antec 350watt psu and athlon xp 1700. can anyone help ? thx im desperate
 
Make sure you don't reverse the power swtich and reset switch on your motherboard. I did that and thought my powersupply was a goner. I hit the reset and it powered up. lol
