System won't boot

I just wiped out my HDD by repartitioning it, threw in a boot disk, but my pc won't boot to the disk. It's a MSI KV7-Pro2A. I did a clear CMOS, removed all PCI cards, what else should I do? It's hanging after it says "Verifying DMI Pool Data .........."

yes to "reset configuration data" or similar option somewhere in BIOS setup

You could try hdd auto detection, but i'm assuming if it's at dmi data, resetting config/escd is probably the fix. Also might not be booting to a: without setting up the boot sequence in the bios
