This is my specs:

Corsair 2gbs, PC6400 , 4-4-4-12
Core 2 Duo, E6300
Gigabyte 965P-DS3
Truepower II antec, 550 W
Creative xi-fi sound card
X1900XT

this is the problem, comp won't post. I get continous short beeps coming outta my mobo. The manual says it is due to a power error. I tried reconnecting everything and even tried the power supply in a different system. it works fine. THis is exactly what happens:

I boot it up, fans start turning for maybe about 3 seconds. Fans turn off, and system shuts down, 1 second later, fans turn on again automatically and system comes back to life with continous short beeping sounds.

I am certain there isnt' a problem with my power, maybe its my ram?

Sorry, not familiar with that MB. Generally, continuous beeps point to a heat problem on most all the ABIT and ASUS boards. Just a question: is the HSF plugged in?

Try a minimal install outside the case.

check your power connections, and make sure all your cards are seated properly.

edit...

The DS3 is picky about ram, check the site you bought it off of and see if it runs at 1.8v. If not, they may very well be your problem.
