OK. Here's the story. I am going to be updgrading my current system (actually more like replacing ;)). I have:

Celeron 366@550 on a BH6 Rev1
128 MB PC100
Canopus Spectra 2500 (16MB TNT)
Turtle Beach Montego A3D Xtreme
20.5 GB WD HD 7200RPM ATA66
6.4 BG WD HD (not sure of RPM) ATA33
CD-RW, DVD-DOM, floppy
Cambridge SW 3pc speaker (cheap one, retails about $50 now)

I think that covers it all.

Now I want to upgrade mobo, cpu, sound basically. I am going to need new RAM (I may use the old parts as a second system). I don't need to upgrade the video card because a friend of mine is going to hook me up with either a GF DDR or Radeon. I will be all set in that regard. Overclocking is not a primary concern. I would like to go the Duron route.

I am pretty sure I am going to get the SB Live as a sound card. I basically need suggestions on Mobo, speakers, memory, and a PS.

Any idea when the DDR chipsets are going to be available? Thanks for your help.

so either the Abit KT7 or the Asus A7V mobo with a 700 Duron? Any preferences on the mobo? I can read reviews as well as anyone. ;) Any other suggestions on 4pc speakers + sub? Thanks.

GET KLIPSCH PROMEDIAS. (www.klipsch.com) Had them for 6 months and they still kick ass. Best bass and treble around. On the MB issue go with the ABit beause ive had problem with the ASUS board.
