1. OK, I just built my first system and after installing windows 2000 pro and loading all my drivers I had a problem with rome:total war closing on me. So I tryed DLing the new catalyst drivers for my x800, I got a error on my reboot saying something like /systemroot/system32/config/software or its log or alternate.
It is corrupt, absent, or not writable. This juts makes my system reboot over and over. I've reinstalled windows about 3 or 4 times and get the same error when i try to update my drivers. How can i prevent this or fix it next time it happens oir if i want tot update my ctalyst driver? I'm also using an ASUS MB and a single WD raptor SATA HD. The SATA HD has been giving me problems as well which brings me ot my second problem. from time to time and almost always when I'm loading my new drivers after my fresh install i get this error. STOP: 0x00000024 (0x0195...) NTFS_File_System address BFE... Base at BFEB..., date Stamp 3ebc05a5 -NTFS.sys. After a restart my system boots fine so this isnt as serious as problem #1 but its still not comfortable seeing this since somthing is obviously wrong. PLs help.
