Lately I have been having some problems with my system tray and was hoping someone here would be able to help me out. I am on a 56k connection and lately when I connect to my ISP, the connection information will not pop up in the system tray, this is important for me because without it I cannot disconnect or see if I am connecting at a proper speed. I have the "show icon in notification area" button checked off but that does not do anything.

I also am having problems with the system tray updating itself, after opening a few or even just one program, the system tray will not update itself and remove the closed program unless I hover over the icons.

What is causing this and how may i solve it, I really don't want to reinstall xp.
