system tray disabled???

i formatted yesterday, installed wxp, sp2, and the other usual stuff, drivers etc, today after i installed norton system works and i restarted my system tray disappeared, all i can see is the clock and if i go into taskbar properties the "hide icons" option for the system tray is greyed out...

how can i re-enable it?
 
OMG .. That is the exact reason why I came here .. same thing happened to me. I intstalled windows with sp2, and I was playing around all day. Then I rebooted, and now the same exact two problems happened to me. Have you been able to fix it yet?
