System spontaneously reboots after 5 clicks

The wife's machine started acting up last week, and now it's at an unusable state. Literally after 5 to 15 mouse clicks or a few minutes of just using the keyboard, regardless of what apps are being launched or used (like notepad or anything) the system spontaneously reboots.

I tried dropping a Ghost image that I know is clean, and it still happens, so it isn't a virus or trojan causing it. Thinking it might be that the PS2 ports had gone south, I swapped in a USB mouse...that didn't help.

Luckily, I'm able to get a NetMeeting session going before a crash and share her desktop to my machine. At this point, I can use the machine remotely for hours and it won't crash. So I've ruled out the RAM, the PSU, hard drive and excessive heat.

App sharing hooks GDI and USER, so everything I do via NetMeeting is software based. This leaves me with two possible culprits: the motherboard and the videocard. I can't think of anything else that could be the cause. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare videocard to narrow my investigation further.

It's a Soyo SY-TISU socket 370 mobo with a Tualatin core Celly 1.1G (not overclocked) and a 32-meg Model64 TNT2 card.

Anyone else ever have this problem? What ended up being the culprit? TIA.

Well, okay. This is probably one of those really weird system meltdowns that nobody else but my wife could suffer. No matter, I dropped her hard drive into my HT box for the time being, and have made deals for a used mobo, CPU and RAM to upgrade her machine a little...part of the cost should be offset by selling the old CPU and RAM.
