System shutting down help please

I have a laptop that is generating an error message c/windows32/isass.exe has been generated due to unexpteded . blah blah and then shuts down. I've run virus protection and removed all viruses but its still doing it, anyone heard of this one ?

You've been infected with Sasser or similar.

Do this now:
Turn on your network card or modem's firewall. It's in the advanced tab of that component's properties in the Network Connections control panel applet.

If you ever saw it again:
Open a command prompt
Type shutdown -a
That aborts the shutdown so you can keep working....

NOW, though, you need to:
1. Patch Windows. Go to Windows Update and get ALL the updates. Install them ALL.
2. Get a decent antivirus software product on the machine.
3. Get a decent malware/spyware product on the machine.
4. Consider a hardware firewall.

ok thanks, i thought I removed all the virus stuff but I'll do what you say and keep my fingers crossed tahnks =_)

you can go to start>run, and type 'shutdown -a' (w/o quotes) in the box that pops up.
