I have been attempting to install various different operating systems on a secondary hard drive recently, however the system always seems to shutdown without warning at inconsistant times. My primary HDD is a SATA drive and has given no problems, but all the secondary ones are IDE. What could be causing this? Ive tried 2 hard drives to eliminate them as a problem. The system I'm running is a AMD 4600 on an MSI K9N Platinum board with OCZ Gold memory. It seems to be a problems with IDE drives, my cd drive however has never given me any problems. I can usually spot where the problem lies, but this one has me stumped. Any ideas?
