Hey everyone, very new to these forums and also quite new to building PCs.

However I am upgrading my current setup with almost all new things.
Here's my plan:

MOB: MSI P45 Neo-F
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0
RAM: 2 x 2GB Crucial DDR2 PC2-5300
GFX: BFG nVidia GeForce GTX 260 OC MAXCORE 896MB
PSU: 600W

I'm wondering if these components will all boot up safely and work okay, and if they will fit in this case: XION Onyx XON-303

I have checked over the compatibility of everything as best as I can but I really want a second opinion to be sure.
This is sort of urgent, so if anyone can help out I'll be really greatful.

If I missed any info you need here please say.

Thanks in advance!

* You're only asking if the components you have listed will work together, correct?
* You're not asking for better alternatives, correct?
* You're not asking about "bang for the buck", correct?

* If you are asking about better alternatives, or more "bang for the buck", you need to list four things...
1. The tasks that this PC will mainly be used for.
2. Your total budget for the upgrade.
3. What country you're buying the components from.
4. Do you plan on OCing.

Sorry about the lack of info, I'm a bit flustered.

But yes, I am only asking if the listed things will work and fit in the case - so no alternatives or "bang for bucks" :)
I may overclock my CPU a bit, but not in the near future. I get nervous.

Thanks for the quick reply anyway :)

As long as your 600W PS is a 24pin connector and power connector for the 260 card.

PC2-6400 (DDR2-800) is really the standard memory speed now. It will give you a little more overhead if you decide to overclock in the future and doesn't cost any extra.

That's everything taken care of then I guess :D

Well, one last question from my paranoid self:

Are you sure the GTX 260 will fit on the board and case okay? It's apparently a big card.

You need to Google for reviews on this card to find one that states physical dimensions.
Or you could email support for the video card and case manufacturers to get dimensions on their products.
