System seeing a 60 GIG hard drive as a 30 GIG

I used fdisk on a Maxtor 60 GIG hard drive to remove and create paritions and now fdisk, the DOS command line, Windows 98, Windows XP, and Partition Magic 8 all see it as a 30 GIG. Any ideas on how to reset it to a 60 GIG?

Lonewolf54, check your drive's jumper settings to make sure it's not limiting drive capacity. There should be a setting to limit it (for compatability purposes) to either 30 or 32G. You can check Maxtor's site, or go to Ontrack's JumperViewer with your drive's model number to confirm the correct jumper settings.
