Just got an SB Audigy today. (Part of the TCWO deal.) After installing it -- and disabling the on-board sound -- my system became extremely unstable, repeadtedly rebooting within minutes of starting. You can see my fulll set up by checking the Rigs link in my sig. Briefly, my components include:

MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU mobo
Athlon XP 1900+ at default speed
2*512MB PC2700 Samsung DDR

AGP Slot: GeForce3 Ti 550
PCI Slot 1: Empty
PCI Slot 2: Inland Pro USB 2.0 5-Port Card
PCI Slot 3: Empty
PCI Slot 4: Empty
PCI Slot 5: Linksys 10/100 LAN Card

I have the latest bios and Via 4in1 drivers (4.40); the OS is WinXP Pro. Onboard audio, RAID, modem, and all USB options are disabled.

The system is solid as a rock until I introduce the sound card. I rearranged the PCI cards in different slots but got the same results: erratic restarts. I also tried changing the PNP OS option in the bios but that didn't improve things either. When I pull the sound card everything is nice and stable again.

What do you guys recommend I try next?

Pulled the USB Card from Slot 2 and put it in Slot 4. Put the Audigy in Slot 2. Problem solved.

Yeah, sometimes you have to play musical chairs with your pci cards to get them to work. :)
