System Retore calendar empty - WTF?

I just did a system roll back to July 11, and when I chose that date, there were a number of earlier dates listed in the System Retore calendar. The system restored successfully, so it seems, and I'm rolled back and working after I had a number of issues where the computer wouldn't boot to windows, or got error messages failing to boot, or blue screens of death.

Now I checked the system restore calendar and it is blank? WTF? It looks like system restore is turned on when I go to my computer and click on the system restore tab. (turn off system restore check box is unchecked).
