System Restore for Windows 2000?

I have Windows 2000 Pro on my home box (yes, I know Windows and Bill Gates sux, and that LinuxMacOXUnix are infinitely superior). I also use Windows XP Pro at work.

One feature I like about XP is the System Restore feature. Does anyone know if Win 2000 has something like that, maybe buried deep in the program or on the CD?

If not, is there a program offered as a plug-in for Win 2000 to enable a feature something like that?

Thanks in Advance.

If I remember correctly that feature was first introduced in Windows ME, but wasn't put in 2000. You could get a third party software that will do the same thing though so all is not lost.

There's no System Restore built into Win2k, you'd have to rely on a third party piece of software to do it. (Like Norton Go Back or similar)

To be honest, the Win XP restore is no better than the ME one... I speak from experience... Both Restores tend to screw things up more than they fix. For instance, remnants of files can still exist after doing a restore, etc... The bext bet is to get a touch button external hardrive backup system, which can be had pretty reasonably priced. Much better experiences with backups than system restore.

If it is any consolation... I had less problems overall with Win2000 Pro than any other OS including XP!!! It is extremely stable. Good luck with everything!

Norton GoBack (used to be Roxio GoBack) offers something similiar to System Restore. I don't have any personal experience with it but I hear it does a good job.
