system restore comes up blank

I tried to access my system restore and the box comes up but it is all blank.does anybody have any suggestions?

If you click START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>SYSTEM TOOLS>SYSTEM RESTORE the window comes up but it's blank?
