I've been shuffling some old components around, and combining two old machines into one old machine.
I upgraded the CPU on a Gigabtye GA-7ZMMH motherboard with 11b bios from an Athlon 1GHz processor to an Athlon 1800+ processor. I have set the system speed jumper and toggle to the 133 position.
While troubleshooting, I have unplugged all drives other than the boot hard disk.
The machine boots, memory checks out, it starts into Windows, and then it resets and reboots itself. How can I troubleshoot this to find out why it is rebooting? Isn't the fact that it starts to load up Windows an indication that it is a Windows problem rather than a hardware problem?
